Glastonbury 2023 tickets sold out in around an hour amid frustration from festival-goers that the ticket website kept crashing.
General sale admission was made live at 9am on Sunday morning by See Tickets - where thousands were looking to book for the event, which will be held next June.
Although ticket prices were above £300 for the first time, demand was such that the website suffered crashes.
Fans reported on Twitter that they could not connect or were demoted back to an earlier screen, needing to restart the booking process.
at this point it would be easier to start and band and play Glastonbury than it is to get tickets

Even Specsavers joined in with the banter, tweeting: “See Tickets? We can’t… #Glastonbury.”

The demand was there for Glastonbury despite the line-up not having yet been announced. Among the favourites to be 2023 headliners are Arctic Monkeys, Harry Styles and Eminem.
For 2023, the price of one standard ticket is £335 with a £5 booking fee. This compares to £265 when they last went on sale in 2019.
A previous batch of tickets including coach travel went on sale on Friday and also sold out.
For those who didn’t get tickets, a resale will be held at the end of March.
