Glasgow wellness company acquires SAS: Who Dares Wins duo's fitness app

Glasgow-headquartered wellness company TRUCONNECT has acquired the fitness app created by SAS: Who Dares Wins stars Jason Fox and Ollie Ollerton.

The acquisition sees all content from the pair's Battle Ready 360 app now available exclusively on the TRUCONNECT app, with plans for more content to come later this summer.

David Weir, founder and chief executive of TRUCONNECT’s parent brand the Original Fit Factory, explained: “We’re striving to build an ecosystem of wellness products and services that is second to none in improving the wellbeing of individuals, businesses and employees worldwide.

“That includes producing the best possible fitness content working with renowned figures like Jason and Ollie.”

Fox explained: “Ollie and I created the Battle Ready 360 app to help anyone conquer self-doubt and overcome procrastination in achieving their goals – it’s acquisition by TRUCONNECT is really exciting for us.”

The deal follows TRUCONNECT buying double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes’ holistic employee wellbeing platform Elf at Work earlier this year.

The TRUCONNECT app features more than 1,000 mental and physical health programmes, allowing users to connect with friends, create custom workouts, try nutritious recipes and unwind with meditation.

The existing offering features exclusive workout programmes from celebrities including actress and presenter Gemma Atkinson, MMA fighter Georges St Pierre and actress Helen Flanagan.
