Glasgow is set to enjoy clear skies and soaring temperatures this weekend, and is even predicted to be hotter than cities such as Madrid and Athens.
According to forecaster the Met Office, the city will see "long clear or sunny spells this weekend" and will be "warm or very warm by day".
The balmy weather is set to begin on Friday, with clear skies expected all morning and over much of the afternoon.

Following a relatively chilly morning in the city, things are also set to warm up considerably by the afternoon — with temperatures peaking at 13 degrees Celsius at 3pm.
After this, clouds will begin to form but it will still be a very mild evening until temperatures begin to tail off at around 8pm.
Saturday looks set to be a similar story, but skies will be brighter and the mercury will rise even higher.
By 12pm, temperatures will have reached 13C and will later peak at 15C by 3pm — hotter than Madrid and Athens are expected to get on Saturday according to the Met Office.
The UV index is also forecast to rise to moderate from low, meaning people heading out to enjoy the good weather should wear some protection.
Things will cool down slightly on Sunday, but it is predicted to be another day of clear skies and sunshine.
After a very chilly morning — reaching lows of 2C at 6am — temperatures will rise throughout the morning and early afternoon to a peak of 11C at 3pm.
Following another chilly night, the next week is set to get off to a similarly pleasant start, with bright skies and temperatures over 10C expected on Monday and Tuesday.
