Glasgow trains face rush-hour disruption and cancellations amid issue

GLASGOW train services are facing rush-hour disruption due to an issue this morning.

ScotRail has said a broken-down train at Alloa station is preventing them from serving the transport hub.

Due to this, trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Alloa will be terminated and started back from Stirling.

Services between the two stations also face being cancelled amid the issue.

It is unknown when the problem will be resolved.

A spokesperson for ScotRail said: "We have a broken down train at Alloa station which is preventing us from from serving this station.

"Train services between Queen St and Alloa will be terminated and started back from Stirling.

"Train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Alloa will be cancelled or terminated at and started back from Stirling.

"Alloa will not be served."
