A toddler was deemed at low-risk months before she was found "severely neglected" and starving to death in a Glasgow flat.
A health visitor told a Fatal Accident Inquiry on Tuesday she had "no reason" to up the risk category to "needing attention" after she visited little Lauren Wade at her parent's home in Sighthill. Irene Soley, 77, said she found the two-year-old playing with a battery and the flat in disarray in June 2014.
Little Lauren died eight months later after being starved by her mother Margaret Wade, 41, and her partner Marie Sweeney, 40. A judge heard how Lauren went without proper food or care for months and was riddled with thousands of head lice.
