Residents in the south side of Glasgow have been left surprised to see a pub boarded up over the weekend amid plans to convert the site into new flats.
In May of this year, we reported on proposals that would see the White Elephant pub in Cathcart knocked down to make way for flats and a new shop.
White Elephant Property Ltd, the firm behind the application, has claimed the pub is “unviable” and “underutilised” and a shop would “bolster the local economy”.
