Glasgow schoolchildren create cookbook filled with recipes donated by famous faces

Pupils at a Glasgow school have put their chef hats on after putting together a cookbook filled with recipes by famous faces.

Toryglen Primary School's primary 6 and 7 classes have been working together collating the recipes donated by the likes of Paolo Nutini and Iain Stirling, which have been put together to create 'The Famous Cookbook'.

They are now fundraising the money from their hard work, with the money going towards the school and local community foodbanks.

In their online fundraiser, teacher Laura Murney said: "We are Toryglen Inc an enterprise group made up of 6/7s from Toryglen Primary School in Glasgow. We have been working hard to create an original enterprise project. Let us introduce ‘The Famous Cookbook’. We have managed to get lots of celebrities to donate recipes to us and combined them with our own. We are so excited to show you our cookbook.

"We hope to raise money for our school and our community. We pledge to give 20% of our profits to food banks in our local area."

To purchase a cookbook and donate to the fundraiser visit the school's GoFundMe page here.
