But what is the weekend weather looking like and what can we expect from the warnings? Here is what the Met Office said.
When is the Glasgow weather warnings happening?
As well as today's weather warning (March 10), the Met Office has issued another which is spread across both days this weekend.
It will come into force from 3pm on Saturday (March 11) and will end at 6am the following day, Sunday (March 12). On the first day of this weekend, highs of 5C and lows of 1C are expected with Sunday set to highs of 9C and lows of 6C.
Forecasters have said that the further snowfall has the potential to cause disruption on Saturday evening into Sunday morning with drivers being warned to take care when getting behind the wheel.
Why is there weather warnings for Glasgow?
The Met Office has said that an area of low pressure is moving in from the southwest through Saturday night into Sunday and with it, will bring a band of rain.
They add: "For much of the area, accumulations likely to be confined to elevations above 200m, with 2-5 cm possible, 5-10cm possible above 400m.
"These accumulations likely to begin melting with the onset of rain, although, during this transition freezing rain is possible giving icy conditions, mainly over higher ground. In the north, where the band of precipitation becomes slow-moving, similar accumulations are expected although this will not melt, with lying snow remaining through Sunday."
