The Silverburn Spooktacular fairground is set to return this year, promising fun for all the family at the shopping centre.
The fun-fest, held in the car park of Silverburn, offers attractions for family members of all ages - and if it’s anything like last year's events it won’t disappoint. The pop up theme park will offer ‘ghoulishly good rides’, with unlimited use for four hours with a wristband.
Aside from the unlimited use rides there will also be a zipline, a kicker, darts, tin can alley, face painting, and hook-a-duck. Between October 7 and 31, Spooktacular will be open between 12pm and 4pm and then again between 5pm and 9pm everyday.

Rides
If you’re looking for kids rides, the fairground has plenty for the wee ones. The ‘Frozen’ Apple Coaster is a great first taste of a rollercoaster, as the caterpillar shaped coaster makes its way around the no frills track.
There’s also the tea cups, and kangaroos - where riders can bob along as if they’re in a kangaroo’s baby bag. The kids can also go for a jump in the bungees, the mini chairs, and the circus train.
Also on offer is the funhouse, which promises thrills appropriate for all ages. The ferris wheel similarly is on offer for the whole family.
For those seeking a bit more of a thrill, Spooktacular is also set to include some more hair-raising rides. The ghost train is sure to scare, while the Miami trip rotates riders in a circle while increasing speed.
There will also be a pirate ship, a matterhorn, magic carpet, and twist.

Tickets
Most of the rides are accessible with a four hour wristband, while certain others will be priced individually. Ticket prices are based on height, rather than age - so if you’re tall enough to ride everything you’ll need a higher priced ticket than others.
Big Monsters - riders over 1.2 metres can pay £15 online or £20 on the door. Little Pumpkins - riders under 1.2 metres can pay £12 online or £17 on the door.
An Addams Family ticket, which includes 2 riders over 1.2 metres and 2 riders under 1.2 metres, is available for £45 online or £65 on the door.
