In just a few days time, people across Glasgow will be treated to the Scottish Boat Race with some taking part in the traditional and long-running event.
The annual race sees the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh compete against each other across the most famous river in the city.
Taking place on the iconic River Clyde this Saturday (May 20) the annual race has been held since 1877 and this weekend, it returns.

The race is the third oldest boat race in the world after the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race (1829) and the Yale-Harvard Regatta (1852).
The first Edinburgh v. Glasgow Boat Race took place shortly after 3pm on Monday 30 July on the River Clyde above the weir at Glasgow Green in coxed fours and was won by Glasgow by eight lengths.
This year's event will see a women's novice (beginners) coxed four, then a senior women's eight and senior men's eight. There will also be a 2km ergometer team challenge of two male (one novice, one senior) and two female (also one novice, one senior) athletes.
Starting on the River Clyde from the Southportland Street Suspension Bridge to the Glasgow Science Centre - roughly 2km - the racing will start from 1:45pm and competing boats will race side by side to the finish line.
Following last year's race, which took place at Strathclyde Park in Motherwell, Glasgow University Boat Club are excited to be racing on their home turf, on the Clyde!
It's set to be a fantastic day of close racing with organisers encouraging spectators on the banks and bridges of the Clyde to cheer Glasgow on.
