There are many events taking place in Glasgow over the next few months with charity walks being one of them.
And one walk set to take place soon is important, with organisers urging for people to get involved in any way that they can.
The Beatson Cancer Charity, who have a centre located in the West of Scotland, successfully aims to help patients navigate their way through their diagnosis as well as their families.

Just recently an MRI scanner was unveiled at the Glasgow centre which will provide life-changing treatment for cancer patients. Humza Yousaf officially opened the new MRI suite with the £3.6 million scanner said to be able to provide higher definition images, and thus allowing doctors to more accurately target certain tumour types than existing CT technology.
So with the charity now looking ahead to their walk in the hopes of raising more money to help those in need, here's what you need to know about the upcoming event.
What is the 'Off The Beatson Track' charity walk?
According to the charity, their annual 10k walk will be returning for its 9th year with the last eight years having seen over 11,000 participants walk over 70,000 miles. This makes it "Glasgow's biggest, best and most yellow sponsored walk."
They add: "This fun filled 6.5 mile walk is fully accessible and perfect for all ages and a great day out with family entertainment. Check out the route further down this page! Sign up your friends, family, colleagues and dogs in 2022 and be with us to show support for patients and families facing cancer."
When does Glasgow's 'Off The Beatson Track' charity walk take place?
The charity walking event will begin on August 28, 2022. The start time is set for 9am with a finish time of 5pm.

How to register for 'Off The Beatson Track' charity walk and how much it costs
You can register here or phone 0141 212 0505. It costs £15 per adult with children being able to enter for free with the charity warning people if they have already registered for the event, you do not need to register on the day.
