One of Glasgow’s most iconic venues has today unveiled a new spectacular outdoor beer garden just in time for summer.
The address beneath Central Station has long captured the hearts of Glaswegians - first as the famous Arches nightclub and more recently as the foodie mecca, Platform.
And from today (May 6) sun seekers can head to Platform Lane, an outdoor oasis in the heart of the city, located just beside the famous food market.
The space has room for up to 100 punters - and we can’t wait to enjoy a drink beneath the gorgeous blooms and decorative pergolas.
Nestled in a back cobbled lane beside the famous building, Platform Lane is now open every weekend from 12pm to 10pm.

To coincide with the new space, Platform have also revamped their menu and promise a “new exciting menu of delicious food” paired with Platform’s premium guest beers, wines and spirits.
And if the surroundings of the bar - hidden in the brick viaduct leading to Central Station and still boasting much of its stunning original features - are anything to go by then the outdoor seating should be just as spectacular.
Kathryn McCormick, owner of PLATFORM said: “In true Scottish fashion the weather looks like it might tip down this weekend but we won’t let that dampen our spirits.
“Our outdoor lane is an urban oasis in the city and we promise it’ll light up your weekend.
She added: “We’re excited to launch The Lane and our new menu and of course, we’ll be open inside or out if it chucks down from the heavens!”
Hungry foodies can dine on Platform’s popular street food kitchen menu inside or out. And there truly is something for everyone - from their famous Korean fried chicken and wood-fired pizzas to new dishes like their cajun shrimp tacos with chipotle crema and white cabbage and coriander slaw or their impressive selection of home-cooked sliders.
