New designs influenced by the opinions of local residents show how four Glasgow neighbourhoods could look in the future.
Illustrations, released by Glasgow City Council, and a report discussed at this afternoon’s environment committee, show the progress of the liveable neighbourhoods scheme between Govan and Kingston, Ruchill to Cowlairs, Dennistoun to Cranhill and Langside to Toryglen.
The new “concept designs” will bring to life projects that reduce car dependency by transforming streets into safer, more attractive spaces where daily needs can be met locally, and people travelling actively and by public transport are prioritised.
