Scottish burger aficionados El Perro Negro, who are in the running to be named best in the UK at the National Burger Awards, have just launched a limited edition Haggis Burger to celebrate Burns Night and honour the great Rabbie Burns.
Scots can pay tribute to the Bard with El Perro’s Ode to a Haggis Burger; juicy double smash patties with burger cheese, house pickles, burger sauce, Arran smoked cheddar and topped off with traditional Ramsay of Carluke haggis.
Priced at £12.50, the special burger will be available from Wednesday, January 25 until Sunday, January 29 at El Perro Negro’s Glasgow and Edinburgh branches.

El Perro Negro founder, Nick Watkins said: "A recent survey conducted by VisitScotland to find out the nation’s favourite poems saw the classic ‘Address to a Haggis’ come in at No4, but the good ol’ haggis reigns supreme in El Perro Negro’s eyes. Launching to mark Robert Burns’ birthday on 25th January, we think the great man himself would enjoy this one.
"As the big bard says, ‘Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware’, and that’s a motto we try to live by at El Perro Negro.
“Even though ‘Address to a Haggis’ didn’t take the top spot in Scotland’s favourite poems, we’re pretty certain the big man would enjoy this one."
