Greggs has lodged plans to open a new bakery in Glasgow’s Queen Street Station.
A planning application lodged with Glasgow City Council said the proposal is for the construction of a retail pod, signage and store within the railway station.
Designs show a high top counter for potential seating and there is to be a North Hanover Street entrance.

The planning application is under consideration by Glasgow City Council.
It was received on April 18 and a decision on the Queen Street station bid is expected by June 16.
The major railway stop is also home to a new 131 square metre Marks and Spencer food hall located beside the Dundas Street entrance. If Greggs gets the go-ahead it will share the station with the M&S food store, which was given permission to sell alcohol last month.
As well as train commuters, Greggs has also been aiming to feed air passengers.
The chain has taken over the the former Mozzo cafe at Glasgow Airport offering seating for 50 people.
The 24 hour food outlet, which opened in April, at the airport boasts an outdoor area and has created 20 jobs.
