Glasgow parents told Rising Stars nursery owners working to find alternative childcare options

Glasgow parents left with no childcare following the closure of a popular chain of nurseries have been told the owners are working to "support families".

Rising Stars is set to close all its facilities in the city by the end of March, leaving many parents with no childcare provisions for pre-school youngsters.

A letter from Gary Hay, managing director of Jobs and Business Glasgow (JBG) who own Rising Stars, to parents said they would "not be in a position to continue to operate our current childcare services beyond 31st March".
