A vile pensioner, who raped a 12-year-old girl over a four year period, has died behind bars.
The Scottish Prison Service announced the death of William Tucker earlier this week at Low Moss Prison.
The 77-year-old was convicted at Glasgow High Court in 2019 after raping and sexually abusing the child at addresses in Glasgow, Fife and Argyll between April 2008 and April 2012, writes the Daily Record.

A fatal accident inquiry will now be carried out in relation to the death.
The beast was taped by the victim's parents apologising and confessing during a phone call when he was confronted by them.
Tucker also had a previous conviction for a sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl during the trial in January 2019 but he moaned that he only confessed to the parents to "keep the peace" and insisted he was innocent.
Even after being convicted he claimed: “I haven't done anything wrong. I never touched the wean,” as he was led away to the cells.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Prison Service said: "William Tucker, 77, a prisoner at HMP Low Moss has died on 05 October 2022. He was convicted at Glasgow High Court in 2019.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
