Glasgow newlyweds snapped holding hands during walk after ceremony in adorable photograph

A newlywed couple from Glasgow were photographed holding hands during a walk, after their intimate ceremony with friends and family.

After three years of being together, Caroline and Jonathan Bailey finally said their vows at the Box Hub venue on Saturday, June 10.

The Govan couple, aged 33 and 34, shared their special day with their nearest and dearest and were walking to the Clayton Hotel, on Clyde Street, when they were snapped.

The adorable image was taken by Claire Gomez, who was on a night out when she captured the sweet moment. She posted it on social media in a bid to track down the newlyweds - with success.

Caroline told Glasgow Live: "We were going to take a taxi but because it was a really warm night we decided to walk it. It was nice for the two of us to just relax at the end of the night.

"Jonathan’s sister sent him the picture and we had no idea where it had came from. It was really strange.

"Jonathan’s sister's friend saw it on a FB group and knew that Jonathan’s sister was at a wedding on that date. She forwarded it to her, it was a big coincidence.

"I was really surprised when I saw the picture and was like was it someone from a taxi swinging by and taking it. I was confused and wanted to know the story.

"It’s a really nice picture especially because we are just holding hands and relaxing. It’s really cute."

Jonathan proposed to Caroline during a trip to the Isle of Mull two years ago.

Reminiscing on her wedding day, she added: "We have been really close ever since we met and were living together so it just made sense. It was nice to formalise it and have a party to celebrate.

"It was pretty casual and we had a really relaxed day with close friends and family.

"It was a fantastic day, the food and ceremony was great. It was also quite emotional.

"Our family and friends got to hang out with each other, it was lovely."

Claire, 47, from Bearsden, added: "I had been on a night out and my friend was on her phone trying to sort out our lift.

"When I saw the cute couple, I just thought it was nice to see them hand in hand so I took a photo."
