Glasgow's ever-burgeoning food scene continues to go from strength to strength with the news our city has landed its second Michelin Star.
Until Cail Bruich's fine success 12 months ago, Glasgow endured a seemingly neverending 18-year-wait for one of our restaurants to be awarded with the prestigious culinary accolade - before then you had to look back all the way to Gordon Ramsay's Amaryllis, which closed in 2004.
Now, the city can celebrate two Michelin Star restaurants with the announcement of Unalome's star status on Wednesday morning.
The revered food guide has hailed the “bold, sophisticated dishes” of chef director Graeme Cheevers and said his "considerable culinary skills pay respect to the finest of Scottish produce”.
“His name will be familiar to most foodies as he’s left his mark on a number of kitchens around Scotland and in Unalome, his first solo venture, Graeme Cheevers has created a restaurant for all occasions,” it commented on the Finnieston restaurant.
In December 2020, Scottish-born Graeme announced he would be opening his first solo restaurant following a successful career with Geoffrey Smeddle at fine dining restaurant Étain, Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond and the luxury Isle of Eriska Hotel.
He told Glasgow Live at the time he was confident that he and his staff could achieve a prestigious Michelin star by blending modern European recipes with high quality suppliers and ingredients, sourced locally where possible.
But what's on the menu at Glasgow's newly-anointed Michelin Star restaurant? And how much does it cost? We've had a look to see what's on offer.
What's on the menu?
Unalome by Graeme Cheevers has four separate sample menus, A Tasting Menu, Tasting of Vegetables Menu, A La Carte Menu and the Lunch Menu.
The restaurant switched up its offering as recently as last January with new menus introduced for the start of the New Year.
Tasting Menu
The six-course Tasting Menu includes the likes of Roasted Orkney Scallops, with cauliflower, finger lime and white wine sauce, Perigord Foie Gras, with preserved lemon, white turnip, macadamia nut and brioche, and Backstrap of Roe Deer, with grue de cacao, cardamon quince, salsify and spätzle.
The menu begins with canapes and ends with a Yorkshire Forced Rhubard dessert, complete with sheep's yogurt mousse, ginger and hibiscus, while a Selection of Farmhouse Cheeses can be added on for a £15 supplement.
Its priced at £90 per person and if you want to enjoy the complementary wine flight, it's an additional £70 per person.
You can view the menu in full here.
Tasting of Vegetables Menu
The vegetarian-friendly menu features dishes such as Grilled Hen of the Woods Mushroom, with kombu and finger lime, Roasted Muscade Pumpkin, with celeriac and chestnut, and the delicious-sounding Yukon Gold Potato and Black Truffle Gnocchi, accompanied by sprouting broccoli.
As with the main tasting menu, the Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb is included as the dessert option, with the selection of cheeses listed as an optional extra.
The six-course Tasting of Vegetables menu comes in at the same price as it's counterpart, priced at £90 per person and an additional £70 per person for the wine flight.

A La Carte Menu
The three-course A La Carte opens with the option of Orkney Scallops and Shetland Mussel, Red Prawn and Iberico Ham or Périgord Foie Gras for starter.
Showcasing the best of Scottish produce, the mains on offer are Loin of North Sea Cod and Oyster, Glazed Veal Sweetbreads or Roasted Backstrap Of Roe Deer.
Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb returns again as one of the dessert options, alongside Michel Cluizel Dark Chocolate and Blood Orange Gateau and Citrus Cream and Meringue.
The A La Carte menu is priced at £80 per person and you can see it in full here.
Lunch Menu
If you're heading along for lunch, you'll be handed a three-course menu, again packed with appetising dishes.
Unalome's lunch menu changes on a weekly basis, however, the following is an example of the dishes being served up at lunchtime.
For starters, diners will have the selection of Kilbrannan Langoustine or Tartare of Highland Deer.
The choice of mains is between Saddle Of Inverurie Lamb or North Sea Fish.
Lunchtime dessert options are the Spiced Date Sponge and Caramel or Michel Cluizel Warm Chocolate Mousse.
It costs £35 per person for the lunch option and vegetarian options are also available.
You can view the menu in full here.
Drinks
It would be an understatement to describe Unalome's wine list as 'extensive', with a vast array of reds, whites, rose, champagne and more.
Bottles are priced from the reasonable £26 mark to an eyewatering £4,250 for one particular red wine, with plenty inbetween.
For those not so keen on their wine, there's an impressive-looking cocktail selection, a substantial selection of spirits and of course soft drinks too.
The cheapest beer on the menu will set you back £5 for a bottle of Holyrood IPA.
