Glasgow man stabbed by blood-filled needle dumped in bin aboard Scotrail train

A Glasgow man was accidentally stabbed by a blood-filled needle on a ScotRail train while binning paper towels.

Anthony Kidd now fears he may have caught an infection from the discarded needle, which was found on a train between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal.

The 24-year-old was on the 18.12 service on Sunday, March 13 when he found the syringe in the toilet bin.
