"Inner Circle is running as usual. Apologies for the inconvenience. Will update when service on Outer resumes.

"Cowcaddens Station is now closed to the public while emergency services deal with a passenger incident."

The spokesperson issued an update, adding: "Outer Circle is now running, both circles running as normal and all stations are open. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1215 hours today to attend an incident at Cowcaddens Station. We dispatched one ambulance, our trauma team and our special operations team (SORT) to the scene. We transported one male patient to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
