A busy Glasgow road was brought to a standstill this morning after a rogue swan flew into the middle of traffic and challenged drivers to a 'square-go'.
The bird appeared on the Kingston Bridge just before 10.30am on Thursday morning and refused to move out of the way of traffic. Motorists travelling on the M8 over the Clyde were forced to brake for the swan who proceeded to stare them down.
In one particularly hilarious picture shared by Traffic Scotland, the bird can be seen standing in front of a 4x4 car holding up a line of traffic including taxis and lorries.

Drivers were warned to approach with care if travelling eastbound on the M8 as traffic came to a standstill.
Luckily the swan's silent protest was brought to an end quickly and drivers were once again allowed to go about their day.
