Glasgow lawyer and Alba candidate 'stabbed' at south side office

A Glasgow lawyer and former council election candidate was rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' at his south side office in an attempted murder bid.

Emergency services rushed to the office on Victoria Road on Thursday (September 22) at around 2.45pm after Muhammad Shoiab, immigration and asylum lawyer and owner of Shoiab Associates, was attacked.

The 69-year-old former SNP and Labour councillor was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and the extent of his injuries is not known, but he returned home from hospital last night reports the Daily Record.
