A company which delivers 'wonky' food and veg to your door is expanding into Glasgow.
Oddbox, which rescues and delivers the delicious 'too odd' and 'too many' fruit and vegetables at risk of going to waste directly from farmers, has widened its delivery radius to include households across Glasgow.
Since it began in London six years ago, the company has delivered over four million boxes of 'odd' (aka the stuff that’s 'too big', 'too ugly' or 'wrong colour') and 'surplus' produce to households in England and Wales.
On the expansion, Emilie Vanpoperinghe, Co-Founder and CEO of Oddbox, said: "Expanding Oddbox into Scotland means growing our community of people doing good for the planet – and having a greater collective impact in the fight against food waste. We're giving Edinburgh and Glasgow locals a tool to make a change seamlessly in their everyday lives."
Beyond serving fruit and veg to people in Scotland with the latest expansion, allowing them to ‘eat good, do good and stay odd’, Oddbox is bringing a boost to the wider region’s economy by partnering with a local logistics firm, Run It Cool, hiring drivers who are familiar with the local area to ensure smooth delivery for customers.
People can join the Oddbox Scotland waiting list now to be the first in line, with delivery bookings live now at www.oddbox.co.uk/, and first boxes delivered on March 30.
Boxes start at £10.99 for an x-small, and up to £19.99 for a large with nine varieties of veg and four varieties of fruit.
