Glasgow Halloween singalong party to be hosted by Massaoke

An iconic singalong event is returning this Halloween at Platform in Glasgow.

Massaoke Scotland's live band will play two sets on October 28, packed with dark chart anthems, with everything from Ghostbusters and The Killers to Rocky Horror and more.

Lyrics will be available on the giant screen and everyone will sing along together, with the night aimed at making the crowd the star of the show.

The theme for the night is Dead Famous, channeling lost music icons like Bowie, Jacko and Amy back from the dead with prizes for best dressed.

Massaoke compere Gerry Lyons said he is expecting the Halloween show to be very special.

He said: “Our nights are always good natured, fun affairs but Halloween is one of our biggest nights. Our crowd always go way out with the costumes - which this year is themed: Dead Famous.

"Lockdown made us realise how important face-to-face social contact is for our mental health so it's been amazing getting back to our live shows this year.

“Massaoke Scotland is like one big happy family and our crowd are always the star of the show - even though our band are pretty amazing!

"Expect the biggest horror hits from Thriller to Rocky Horror to the biggest hits from our dearly departed music icons from Freddie Mercury to Olivia Newton John, who we sadly lost this year."

Details of the event can be found on the Facebook event page.
