Glasgow favourite Shawarma King has been named the best kebab house in Scotland.
The King Street fast food spot took home the top prize at the glittering British Kebab Awards ceremony in London last night (March 2).
The awards, held in association with JUST EAT, are billed as "a chance to recognise and champion the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the nation".
Shawarma King beat off competition from nine other kebab houses in Scotland to take the crown - including two other kebab spots in Glasgow that were shortlisted in Grillzz Glasgow Takeaway in Dalmarnock and Istanbul Turkish Kebab House in Cessnock.
Four kebab shops in Edinburgh also made the shortlist along with Dante’s Fish Chips and Kebab in Dumfries, which walked away with the title back in 2021.
Shawarma King confirmed the news on Instagram by posting a video of them picking up the award at the London bash along with the caption: "BEST KEBAB IN SCOTLAND!"
