Emergency services descended on the River Clyde this evening in Glasgow amid reports of a 'person in difficulty'.
A multitude of police vehicles and ambulances were spotted in attendance on Clyde Street near to the Holiday Inn hotel, alongside lifeboat crews in the river.
Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team confirmed to Glasgow Live that they were called to reports of 'a person in difficulty in the River Clyde' around 8:30pm this evening.

They said that they attended the scene alongside police and fire crews.
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service also confirmed to Glasgow Live that crews were mobilised to the scene, but said police were dealing with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a man in difficulty in the River Clyde at Clyde Street, Glasgow around 7.50pm on Tuesday, 16 August, 2022.
“A 32-year-old man was safely recovered by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.”
