A Scots schoolboy DJ has been taking the music scene by storm as videos show crowds of revellers dancing their hearts away to his catchy beats. Callum Spence might just be the youngest globetrotting DJ with TikTok videos showing the 13-year-old entertaining swathes of music lovers in the Turkish holiday resort of Marmaris.
The Govan schoolboy has been playing music since the age of eight - with his first gig at his dad's wedding in 2018. Since then he has played countless venues including The Garage in Glasgow, and is due to play in Ibiza later this year.
Callum told the Record he enjoyed his appearance at GBX's Marmaris weekend which was captured in the TikTok clips. He says the change in weather and getting to play a boat party for the first time were big factors.
His dad also told the Record: "We've been doing parties constant, 21st birthdays, garden parties, The Garage, we played for adults with learning difficulties.
"He's the youngest member of team GBX, we've worked with GBX for the last two years now.
"They started last month doing Marmaris big weekender and we went over on holiday. They arranged for Callum to play.
"It was good to get a change of weather and venue, it was a great atmosphere on the boat and we all really enjoyed it, especially Callum.
"It was the first time playing a boat and the second time playing abroad.
"He's due to go to Ibiza and play with GBX as well in September."
Callum shot to stardom earlier this year after teaming up with GBX studios and his little sister to produce a single in memory of toddler Rowan Packer. He passed away aged two from Tay-Sachs Disease, a genetic condition which causes progressive damage to the nervous system last October.
The single entered the top 30s in February and reached number 27 in the charts. Cash raised went to the John O'Byrne charity which supported Rowan and his family throughout the toddler's short life.
