A Glasgow commuter must have thought they were dreaming after spotting a cyclist pedalling over the Kingston Bridge on the M8 amid rush hour traffic.
The person took to Twitter to share a photo of the cyclist high above the River Clyde on the normally traffic-choked ten-lane road bridge yesterday morning (January 18).
It appears the cyclist may have decided to cross the Clyde by taking the on-ramp from Waterloo Street in the city centre or Newton Street after being spotted heading in the direction of the Tradeston off-ramp.

What makes the picture even more nerve-wracking is that the person in question chose to cycle in the outside lane next to the very edge of the bridge, which is regarded as one of the busiest in Europe given it carries over 150,000 vehicles a day.
It follows a similar incident last year which saw a cyclist spotted pedalling in the outside lane of the M8 near Glasgow city centre.
The unidentified cyclist was pedalling in the third lane of the motorway - which was coned off for roadworks at the time - when he was spotted by a member of the public who advised them they were 'off their heid' for cycling in such a dangerous location.
It is illegal for a cyclist to be on the motorway, and under Highway Code rule 253, a bicycle is listed as a prohibited vehicle.
