Across the UK, the public will go the polls tomorrow (Thursday) to vote in the local council elections.
In Glasgow, 85 seats will be up for grabs for councillors across the city.
Since 2017, Glasgow City Council has been run by a minority SNP administration led by Susan Aitken after being elected with 39 seats.
It was the first time since 1974 that the council was not helmed by a Labour administration with the party receiving 31 votes - a loss of 13 from the previous election in 2012.

When do the polls open?
Polls will be open from 7am to 10pm tomorrow (Thursday), giving everyone a chance to cast their vote in time.

With 85 seats up for grabs in Glasgow City Council, there are hundreds of candidates standing in the election.

When will the results come in?
The results are not expected in for this election until Friday evening, with counting taking place the day after the votes are cast.
This is similar to the method used during the Scottish Parliamentary Election which took place last year.
