New parking charges have come into force at Pollok Country Park.
The charges are in operation from 10am-6pm from Monday to Sunday, with drivers charged £2.50 for 4 hours and £4.50 for all day, Glasgow City Council have confirmed.
A free electric shuttle bus is now running in the park from 9.30am to 6.30pm every day, with the bus stopping at the Pollokshaws Road entrance into the park, Pollok House and the Burrell Collection.
The move comes as part of plans to make the much-loved park more pedestrian and cyclist friendly, via the creation of an active travel management scheme, which involves altering entrance and exit routes.

It includes a new entrance at the existing Haggs Road junction with Shawmoss Road and a car park on the site of the former hockey pitch at Nether Pollok.
There will be a road, allowing two-way traffic, between the new car park and the existing car park at the Burrell Collection.
Barriers will also restrict vehicles’ access to the wider park. These will be in place at the existing Pollokshaws Road entrance, at Pollok House and at both car parks. They will remove “uncontrolled” or “verge parking” in the park.
It is intended to “largely encourage users of the park to arrive either via public transport or on foot or by bike”.
