A Glasgow dad who is Celtic-daft is still suffering from the effects of brain damage from a pub attack that left him fighting for his life three years ago.
Kevin Hammond was jumped by a stranger outside The Braes pub in Rutherglen on December 8, 2019 and viciously attacked. The father-of-two had to have part of his skull removed to relieve the pressure on his brain, while his family were asked if they wanted his last rites read at his bedside as doctors feared he wouldn't survive.
Kevin, from Castlemilk, was put in an induced coma and spent weeks in intensive care before being transferred to a high-dependency unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, reports the Daily Record.
