Businesses across Glasgow are taking to social media, warning their customers to stay vigilant.
It comes as several accounts are reporting fake profiles with scammers pretending to be a local eatery or hotel chain.
Some of the businesses that have spoken out include Fat Lobster and the Maldon Hotel chain but it's not just them, with the NHS warning people of a scam involving a text claiming people need to get tested after being exposed to the omicron variant.
