Multiple banks in the Greater Glasgow area will be shutting down as the rise in online banking continues to grow.
Seven banks from multiple branches will close their doors within the city and in the surrounding area. Branches that will experience closures include Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Natwest, TSB, and Virgin Money.
According to Which?, a total of 5,355 bank branches and building societies have closed their doors since 2015 across the UK.

The Bank of Scotland branches are in Bearsden and Pollokshields. The Kirkintilloch Barclays branch will also close, as will TSB in Braidcraft Place, the Royal Bank branch in Johnstone and the Virgin Money branch in Glasgow city centre.
The closures have been condemned by Glasgow MP Alison Thewliss, who called for Bank of Scotland to reconsider the closure of the Albert Drive Bank of Scotland.
She said: “It is disappointing that Bank of Scotland has taken the decision to close their local branch on Albert Drive, following the pattern of many other banks in centralising their branches in the city centre.
“The Albert Drive branch is an anchor on this busy street, used by residents, businesses and local organisations. Albert Drive has been affected by two significant fires in recent years, so the loss of this branch is particularly disappointing.
“I ask that Bank of Scotland reconsider the decision to close this branch to ensure that my Pollokshields constituents continue to have access to the full range of banking services in their own neighbourhood.”
