Iconic Glasgow bakery Mortons Rolls has reportedly ceased all trading. The company, based in Drumchapel, was formed in 1965 when it began selling morning rolls. It has since branched out into other baked goods.
Reports of the company's issues first began on Friday with the much-loved firm said to be closed with immediate effect. Its accounts are overdue by more than two months, with its annual results due to be filed in December last year.
Following the news, Glasgow cafes have warned they may not be able to offer Mortons rolls to customers this weekend.
