Iconic Glasgow bakery Mortons Rolls has reportedly ceased all trading.
The company, based in Drumchapel, was formed in 1965 when it began selling morning rolls. It has since branched out into other baked goods.
Reports of the company's issues first began on Friday with the much-loved firm said to be closed with immediate effect. Its accounts are overdue by more than two months, with its annual results due to be filed in December last year.

Following the news, Glasgow cafes have warned they may not be able to offer Mortons rolls to customers this weekend, and have said their thoughts are with all affected staff.
Mesa in Glasgow's east end said: "We woke up to the news that Mortons Rolls have ceased trading. We may not be able to offer rolls this weekend. Thinking of all the staff today and hope something is sorted soon for the bakery’s future."
Brooklyn Cafe in the south side echoed the sentiment, saying: "We have been informed through the night that Morton’s Bakery has ceased trading. Our driver has advised that more information will provided next week.
"This will be a horrible time for all the staff at Morton’s and we hope that anything that can be done to save the bakery will be done.
"We know a lot of our customers will be gutted as Morton’s rolls have been a firm favourite for decades. For this weekend it might be a piece ‘n’ sausage instead of a roll."
Scran also chimed in with their statement reading: "Many of you have probably woken up to the sad news that Mortons Rolls have ceased trading over night. Our thoughts go out to all of the staff and everyone involved. We hope that the issue can be resolved as soon as possible, as not only are the crispy (or soft) rolls they produce been a Glasgow staple since the 1960s, but they make up a huge part of what makes SCRAN a firm favourite among our fans.
"We've managed to secure enough rolls for the weekend thanks to Bavarian Bakehouse coming to the rescue! And are equally as tasty.
"So fear not, your roll needs will be met this weekend and hopefully all will be back to normal soon!"
Members of the public were also quick to share their disappointment and concern over the news, with many calling for the beloved bakery to be saved.
Glasgow MSP Paul Sweeney tweeted about the news, saying: "This is awful news. Coming after the closure of McVitie's in Tollcross, losing the iconic Mortons Rolls of Drumchapel and 250 jobs would be another hammer-blow to Glasgow's economy. The government must step in now to try to find a firm that will buy Mortons out of administration."
Mortons Rolls has been contacted for comment.
