Glasgow amber warning - how long will snow last as Met Office alert issued

An amber weather warning has been issued for Glasgow by meteorologists at the Met Office, meaning that disruption is likely on the roads and pavements of the city.

A yellow alert was already in place, with warnings for travellers to take extra care this morning (December 16).

However, the Met Office have now said that snow showers were moving across much of the country, with a number of road closures being reported in the early hours. This amber weather warning has been issued from 5am until 12pm this afternoon, with the yellow weather warning lasting until midnight tonight.
