Be a hero.. give blood
BLOOD do nations are, if you’ll excuse the pun, the life blood of the NHS.
Without volunteers, the bid to clear record waiting lists since Covid will be jeopardised.
So please Give a Pint, Save a Life by becoming a Daily Mirror blood donor hero.
The fall in donors after the pandemic is understandable but so is the need to resume supplies which is why we’re campaigning for more people to do their duty.
Giving blood is easy, painless and satisfying when the selflessness and concern for others represents the best things about Britain.
We applaud those who never stopped giving, urge those who paused to start again and appeal to first-timers to give it a go.
Many lives are saved by voluntary donations. Some of us may be grateful in years to come, never knowing when we or a family member will require a transfusion. Let’s all do our bit.

No10 hurts all
SLASHING living standards by raising taxes and doing little to reduce soaring prices is the entire Tory Government, not only Boris Johnson, hurting the country.
The PM should to be axed for his lying alone. But replacing him with another such as Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss behind the same wrong policies would be a fresh face on old politics.
Refusing to be bold and stand up for working families is the Conservatives underlining the chasm between them and a Labour Party under Keir Starmer proposing practical ideas to make life better for low and middle earners.
In the year of the squeeze the tired Tories will deserve to suffer.

Caring Queen
NOT many people are allowed to do the same job for 70 years but then again the Queen’s position is unusual.
The gratitude of Charles for his mother agreeing Camilla should be Queen Consort when he inherits the job showed when all is said and done, this is also a family who care for each other and the roles they play.
