There's been tons of designer departures lately. Like Virginie Viard bidding adieu to Chanel. Currently no one has stepped in to fill her fancy shoes so an in-house team designed the fashion house's Fall 2024 haute couture collection. Givenchy is in a similar situation. The brand has been without a creative director since December 2023. So the studio team for the label opted to reintroduce some of Hubert de Givenchy's greatest hits.
The founder's iconic opera coats, circular cast and "scooped trapeze volumes" inspired Givenchy's Fall 2024 collection and the campaign that followed. Captured by photographer Liv Liberg, the images draw attention to the standout pieces, like a silk georgette blouse with swallow collar, Shark Lock boots, a cropped leather bustier with draped detail and the coordinating skirt. There are also fresh spins on several signature bags, including Nano versions of the Voyou handbag, the P'tit Voyou shoulder bag and the Pumpkin bag.
