Leeds United suffered a late defensive collapse at Tottenham Hotspur as they were defeated 4-3 in their final game before the World Cup. The Whites went in front three times in the capital but conceded two late Rodrigo Bentancur goals to return to West Yorkshire empty handed.
Crysencio Summerville had opened the scoring for Leeds inside the opening 10 minutes as he found the net for the fourth game in a row. Harry Kane then controversially equalised before Rodrigo Moreno replicated Summerville's earlier feat by putting Leeds in front with his fourth goal in as many matches.
Illan Meslier's own goal then restored parity for the home side, but Leeds will have thought they had won it when Rodrigo scored his second of the afternoon with 15 minutes to play. Leeds, though, were unable to hold firm at the back and Bentancur scored twice in as many minutes late on to hand Spurs all three points.
