Leeds United kicked off their 2022/23 Premier League season with a comeback victory against Wolves at Elland Road.
Jesse Marsch's side got off to the worst possible start, finding themselves a goal down after six minutes, with Daniel Podence giving Wolves the lead. The Whites were denied a penalty when Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa clattered into Rasmus Kristensen in the air, but a spot-kick wasn't given by either the referee or VAR.
However, Leeds soon got back on level terms through Rodrigo, with the Spaniard's shot squeezing past Sa. Wolves started the second period on the front foot, and Illan Meslier was forced into a reaction save to deny Leander Dendoncker.
