Gisèle Pelicot, a prominent figure in the fight against sexual violence, bravely addressed reporters outside the courtroom with deep emotion. She expressed the difficulty of the process and emphasized her thoughts on her three children: David, Caroline, and Florian.
She also extended her empathy to all families impacted by similar tragedies and acknowledged the countless unknown victims whose stories often remain hidden. Pelicot conveyed a message of solidarity, stating that they all share the same fight against sexual violence.
For more than a decade, Gisèle Pelicot endured being drugged unconscious and raped by her then-husband, Dominique Pelicot. Today, an Avignon court delivered justice as forty-nine men were found guilty of raping her, with one man convicted of sexual assault.
