A 19th-century Italianate brownstone, formerly owned by Gisele Bündchen, is on the market for $16.995 million. The Brazilian-born personality, who was one of the highest-paid models in the world, purchased the West Village home in 2005 (for $5.8 million) before renovating and reselling it in 2009.
Bündchen merged the home's architectural assets (including its stone fireplaces, rustic wooden beams, and exposed brick wall in the kitchen) with a bold but timeless monochromatic color scheme throughout the entire property.
The 22.5-foot-wide townhouse includes four floors of living space, an elevator, and a paved yard that epitomizes the urban gardening movement. There's also a third-floor terrace overlooking the Greenwich Village neighborhood – because what more could we want from a New York City townhouse?
Since its origins in 1851, the property has enjoyed extensive renovations, most significantly by Bündchen, who is known for her love of interior design. The library, living room, and main bedroom all boast original stone fireplaces that serve as a continuous reminder of the property's rich history. However, despite its age, the rooms have an overriding modern aesthetic, brought to life with sleek furnishings (such as the glass coffee table) and vibrant accessories, starting with the zebra-printed rug below.

Since leaving this home, Gisele Bündchen has expanded her property portfolio around the country, most recently buying a home in Southwest Ranches, Florida. The supermodel owns multiple properties around the Sunshine State, including another smaller cottage in Surfside.
