A group of friends saved £200 by sneaking alcohol into a festival - by injecting a litre of pink gin into a cranberry juice carton. Sophie Taylor, 20, and her friends didn't want to shell out £8.50 for a double pink gin and lemonade at Kubix Festival in Sunderland last Saturday.
After already spending £32.77 each for their festival tickets, the group of women came up with a plan. Purchasing two giant 50ml syringes, the girls poked a hole in the side of a cranberry juice carton and emptied the contents.
Filling the syringes with Gordon's pink gin, they transferred the alcohol into the empty cranberry juice carton.
