Girls Aloud launch Primark range in memory of Sarah Harding

Nadine Coyle and her fellow Girls Aloud bandmates have teamed up with Primark to launch a new nightwear range in memory of Sarah Harding.

Sarah, 39, died in September 2021 after revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer which had spread to other parts of her body.

Since her death, her bandmates have being carrying out a number of her wishes including raising funds for cancer charities.

In their latest venture, Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberly and Nicola have joined forces with Primark to design a nightwear range, with proceeds being donated to various charities dedicated to helping those with cancer.

Sharing the new range on Instagram, Derry native Nadine posted: "Thank you so much to @primark for asking us to curate this wonderful nightwear range in honour of our lovely Sarah. Thanks to them we are set to raise a huge amount of money. 50% of the sales price will be given in equal portions to The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK.

"In Ireland, 50% of the sales from these products will go to the Irish Cancer Society. In addition, Primark customers will also have the opportunity to donate on top of their purchase during breast cancer awareness month in October. Our nightwear collection is available instore and online this week. We hope you love it as much as we do."

Cheryl also shared images of the new range adding: "Before Sarah passed away, we promised her we would fulfil her wish of raising money for vital research to help determine young women between the ages of 29 and 40 who could be at risk of breast cancer with no genetic history. These pyjamas with @primark will raise a significant amount of money to help us achieve our promise to her."

Girls Aloud are also planning a gala ball in memory of their beloved bandmate. The 'Primrose Ball' will take place at The Londoner on October 8 and will be hosted by Sarah's former bandmates Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

It will include live performances from the likes of Olly Alexander and is named after Harding's lyrics in Girls Aloud's hit 'The Promise' - in which she sings: "Here I am, walking primrose".
