An Ayrshire woman has said her boyfriend showed her what "true love actually is" as she paid tribute to him following his sudden death at the weekend.
Kilmarnock dad Daryl McWilliam passed away in a Blackpool hotel on Saturday leaving friends and family devastated.
The 23-year-old, described as the "most amazing" person, took his own life, his heartbroken partner has confirmed.
Natalie Mcleod posted on Facebook: "My boyfriend Daryl Mcwilliam sadly has took his own life.
"I done everything possible to help him but it just wasn’t enough. I'm totally heartbroken but still can’t quite get my head over the fact I'll never get to see him again.
"You were the most amazing person I have ever known, you showed me what true love actually is. I will always love you Daryl.
"I really wish I had gotten more time with you and got to do everything we planned on.
"You never failed to make me smile whenever I felt down and I can’t thank you enough for how happy you made me."
The much-loved Kilmarnock dad leaves behind his young daughter.
Daryl recently secured his dream job with Kilmaurs engineering firm A&L Mechanical Installations.
Natalie added: "I was so proud of you on how far you came since I met you. You finally got your dream job and was smashing it like you did with everything in life.
