A seven-year-old girl was left covered in blisters within minutes after going out into the sun in the middle of the day - despite wearing factor 50 suncream. The girl had been playing for five minutes when she started screaming that her back was 'on fire'.
Mum of Two Jasmine William from Pwllheli covered her daughter in suncream before she went to play in the garden but within minutes her back and shoulders had turned bright red and giant blisters began forming on her skin. The Met Office and UK Health Security Agency have issued a series of warnings about the extreme dangers of the temperatures this week.
Jasmine, 27, described her daughter's ordeal as "horrific". She told NorthWalesLive: "At first I thought she was fighting with her brother but I quickly noticed the difference in her cry and she started shouting 'my back is on fire'.
