Girl, 11, 'thought she would die' in Leicester Square knife attack, court hears as knifeman is locked up

An 11-year-old girl “thought she was going to die” when she was stabbed repeatedly in the face by a “crazed” man in Leicester Square during a sightseeing tour of London, the Old Bailey has heard.

The girl was visiting the UK from Australia when she was attacked by 33-year-old Ioan Pintaru, as she stood laughing with her mother in the West End tourist hotspot.
