Girl, 11, dies weeks after starting at new school - leaving parents devastated

An 11-year-old girl who began her new school in Alcester a few weeks ago has died.

Annabel Greenhalgh was described as the "centre of her family's universe", and had just started attending Alcester Grammar School, Birmingham Live reports.

In a statement shared by the school, Annabel's parents Josie and Craig, from Warwick, said: “[We] are completely and utterly devastated to announce the passing of Annabel on Friday, October 14.
