Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis arrived at Elpis Hospital in Athens without a pulse and spontaneous breathing and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, Greek emergency services said, following a reported cardiac arrest at a private clinic in the upmarket Kolonaki district on Wednesday.

The 54-year-old had been at the clinic for a scheduled treatment when he suffered the medical emergency, Greek City Times reported. According to reports citing Greece's National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAB), staff at the clinic called the emergency line after the singer went into cardiac arrest.
